The Williams Sound MOD 232 is a two-channel modulator with four selectable frequencies and designed for use with the Williams Sound Wireless Infrared (IR) Systems. It accepts two microphone or line-level inputs and sends 2.3/2.8/3.3/3.8 MHz frequency synthesized signals to the link_prd_1020_WIR TX9 Emitter_link via coaxial cable. A second MOD 232 can be added via coaxial cable for four-channel application. The emitter transmits invisible infrared light into the listening area. Infrared receivers detect the transmission and convert the light signals back into audio signals. The high frequency 2.3-3.8 MHz carrier frequencies minimize interference problems from high efficiency lighting.
Flexible combination jacks permit balanced/unbalanced line-level inputs. Carrier frequencies are controlled by the microprocessor and a frequency synthesizer for rock-solid frequency control.
