Rechargeable Battery Caution Notice
The Pocketalker Ultra (PKT D1) was originally designed for use with disposable batteries only. The PKT D1 has been updated and can be used with externally rechargeable batteries. However, PKT D1�s built before June 2008 should not use rechargeable batteries.
This notice only affects Pocketalker Ultra (PKT D1) units built before June 2008 with coiled spring battery contacts. For those built before June 2008: Do not use rechargeable batteries. Do not use your unit if the battery contacts become bent. If the battery contacts become bent, please contact us about returning your unit for service. How the POCKETALKER works in everyday situations:
The POCKETALKER Ultra picks up sounds and boosts them according to the volume you've set. For best results, place or hold the POCKETALKER Ultra's microphone as close as possible to the person with whom you're speaking.
In Small Groups - Place the POCKETALKER Ultra on a table, in your pocket, or attach it to your belt and use your preferred headphone, neckloop, or other accessory to provide superior performance!
In the Car - For conversations in the car, you can use the optional microphone extension cord (WCA 007 WC) and optional Lapel Clip Microphone (MIC 054) to attach the mic to the shirt or blouse of your fellow rider.
TV Listening For TV listening, use the included 12 foot extension cord (WCA 007 WC) to extend the earphone or mic cord. You may also want to consider the WIR 238 for superior performance on your TV listening experience!
Using a Neckloop The optional neckloop (NKL 001) telecoil couplers magnetically couple the audio output from the POCKETALER Ultra into a hearing aid equipped with a telephone coil ("T" Switch).
